About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regional Clinical Lead to provide strategic and clinical leadership across nursing teams in Auckland. This is a hybrid role, combining managerial oversight, mentoring, and operational support, with a focus on enhancing nurse-led consults and ensuring high-quality clinical care.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will work closely with clinic managers, charge nurses, and clinical teams to implement innovative nursing models, strengthen clinical quality, and support excellent patient outcomes.
Working Hours & Location
0.8 – 1.0 FTE (32–40 hours per week)
Includes occasional on-call duties, no more than once per month
Based in central Auckland with regular travel across your cluster of clinics
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support nursing teams across multiple clinics
Mentor, coach, and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff
Support recruitment, training, orientation, and performance management
Oversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
Ensure efficient use of nursing funding and resources
Promote health equity, cultural safety, and adherence to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Demonstrate understanding of Māori tikanga, kawa, and culturally responsive care
You Will Need
Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
Minimum 5 years’ nursing experience in New Zealand, with primary care or urgent care expertise
Proven clinical leadership and organisational skills
Experience in quality improvement and clinical teaching
Commitment to biculturalism and health equity
Awareness of PHO, ACC, and nursing professional development requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with MedTech or similar PMS is advantageous
Legal right to work in New Zealand
