Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Prospero Health & Social Care are excited to be recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Child Development Service in the beautiful Nelson region.

What’s on Offer

  • Fixed-term part-time position (0.5 FTE, 40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday)

  • Work across community and outpatient settings

  • Exposure to a wide range of paediatric neuro-developmental conditions, developmental delay, sensory issues, and functional challenges

We are keen to hear from Occupational Therapists with experience in:

  • Paediatrics, with post-registration clinical experience highly desirable

  • Working with children with neuro-developmental disorders, developmental delay, sensory processing challenges, and functional difficulties

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and other health and disability services

  • Building rapport with children and their whānau

About You

  • NZ-registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practising Certificate and Enable Assessor accreditation

  • Passionate about paediatric practice and delivering child- and family-centred care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful to meet changing service needs

  • Committed to professional development and adhering to best practice

  • Eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa
