General Manager – Aged Care | North West Auckland
Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, business hours (on-call shared with Clinical Manager)

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a 130-bed aged care facility in the North West of Auckland, providing rest home, hospital and dementia-level care. The facility includes a secure dementia unit and is supported by a stable, well-established team.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, staff management, HR, and budgeting. You’ll work closely with the Clinical and Operations Managers, who bring strong tenure and experience — ensuring a smooth and supportive leadership structure.
About the role:
Oversee operations across rest home, hospital and dementia units
Lead and support a team of 140 staff
Manage budgets, HR, and staffing requirements
Maintain and promote high-quality care standards (no findings in the last audit)
Collaborate closely with Clinical and Operations Managers
Participate in the shared on-call roster (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, flexible)
About you:
Strong management and leadership experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in aged care
RN qualification a bonus, but not essential
Confident managing HR, budgets, and multi-level care services
Collaborative leadership style with a focus on quality care
