We’re recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager for a Southland hospital with established day surgery and dental services.
The facility has a day surgery theatre suite set up for colonoscopies, with carpal tunnel surgery expected to launch in the coming months. It also provides a busy dental service, including X-ray and sterilisation functions. This is a substantial clinical leadership role requiring someone who can support the team, maintain safe standards of care and help the services run smoothly as they develop.
To be considered, you must have:
Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Proven clinical leadership experience.
Experience in a hospital, surgical or procedural setting. Day surgery, theatre, endoscopy or sterilisation experience would be particularly relevant.
Sound judgement in patient safety, infection prevention and clinical quality.
The ability to work closely with nursing staff, clinicians and the wider team.
You must already have the right to work in New Zealand. The employer cannot sponsor a work visa. You must also already hold New Zealand nursing registration and a current APC. We cannot consider applications from candidates still working towards either requirement.
A November start would be ideal, but the date is negotiable around notice periods and relocation. Relocation support can be discussed, and short-term hotel or motel accommodation may be available for the successful candidate.
