Clinical Nurse Manager – Aged Care Leadership Opportunity
An exciting leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join a well-established aged care provider in a beautiful coastal region of New Zealand’s North Island.
This is a rare chance to step into a respected leadership role within a supportive and stable care environment. The facility is a small, well-run service with a strong community presence, providing both rest home and hospital-level care. With a manageable bed count, this role allows the successful candidate to focus on delivering high-quality clinical leadership while maintaining meaningful connections with residents, families, and staff.
This position has become available as the current Clinical Nurse Manager is relocating, presenting an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader ready to take the next step in their career.
What you will be doing:
Providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring best practice standards are consistently delivered
Managing, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff through education and performance development
Maintaining compliance with Health & Disability Sector Standards and organisational policies
Preparing for and supporting internal and external audits to maintain certification standards
Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external health professionals
Overseeing health and safety practices to ensure a safe and supportive care environment
What we are looking for:
Current New Zealand Registered Nurse with relevant APC
Previous experience as a Clinical Coordinator or similar senior clinical role
Proven experience within the aged care sector
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills
Sound understanding of quality, compliance, and audit processes
What is on offer:
Full-time leadership role – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shared on-call responsibilities with the Facility Manager
Competitive salary in the region of $110,000 – $115,000
Relocation support or sign-on bonus available (to be discussed)
