A senior leadership opportunity is available for an experienced health practitioner to lead Acute Mental Health Services within a public hospital on the west coast of the North Island.
This is a pivotal role with responsibility across inpatient, crisis and inter-agency response services, requiring strong operational oversight, strategic leadership and extensive acute mental health experience.
You will have overall responsibility for:
Acute mental health inpatient unit (23 beds across General Adult, Psychogeriatric and Intensive Psychiatric Care)
24/7 Mental Health Assessment & Brief Care (Crisis) Service, servicing emergency departments and community referrals
Mental Health & Police Co-Response Team, responding to emergency mental health callouts
Senior leadership of Clinical Nurse Managers and multidisciplinary teams
Strong inter-agency collaboration, including Police and emergency services
Senior health practitioner (not limited to nursing)
Extensive acute mental health leadership experience
Strong operational, people and system leadership capability
Confident leading complex services and driving improvement across multiple teams
