Located in the culturally diverse area of Penrith in Western Sydney, this modern private facility features 109 beds and offers a comprehensive range of health services, including orthopaedics, spinal surgery, gynaecology, ENT, plastic surgery, urology, general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography, and obstetrics.
The hospital boasts eight operating theatres, a hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre, and an endoscopy suite, all supported by a critical care unit that includes intensive care.
Responsibilities:
In your role, you will:
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
- Educate and support patients regarding their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life care.
- Lead and execute quality improvement and safety management projects to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with the broader healthcare team to meet patient care requirements.
- Serve as a role model for safe practice standards.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Scrub Scout or Perioperative Nursing, with expertise in one or more of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, or ENT surgery.
- Valid authority to work in Australia.
- A current Working with Children Check.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
- Registration with AHPRA with no restrictions.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards.
