Job Title: Facility Manager (Aged Care)

Location: Paihia, Northland
Hours of Work: Permanent Full Time - 40 hours per week (Alternate on-call weekends)
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP

About Facility:
This facility is a well-established 45-bed care facility located in beautiful Paihia, Northland. We provide rest home, private hospital, palliative, and young disabled care, with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Facility Manager to lead our facility, ensuring the highest standards of clinical safety, operations, and resident care.

The Role
As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the facility, overseeing the clinical, operational, and staffing functions. You will work closely with our senior management team and be instrumental in driving the success of the facility. You will ensure that the care we provide is resident-centred and maintain an environment that is focused on clinical safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the facility’s operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
• Oversee and support the clinical nurse manager in maintaining clinical excellence.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, family members, and employees.
• Manage staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Ensure the facility complies with all regulatory and audit requirements, driving a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong networks with the local community and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and support to a team of around 45 staff members.

Skills and Experience:

• Management experience in an aged care facility or healthcare setting.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Clinical background preferred, but not essential.
• Experience in audit management and ensuring facility compliance.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in rostering and staff management.
• A passion for improving the lives of residents and delivering exceptional care.

The Team
You will be joining a senior management team consisting of the Facility Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Office Manager who support the day-to-day operations of the facility. You will work alongside approximately 8 Registered Nurses (RNs) and 30 Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), ensuring effective teamwork and a resident-focused approach.
